After reading the post about using Ice in the livewell. It reminded of another livewell trick that I’ve used the last few years. I keep a few small Ice fishing weights ( The ones with the clip used to check Depth ) If you have a fish that inverts in the livewell just clip a weight to its lower front fin. The weight will help keep the fish upright until the fishes bladder has time to regulate. I know that this trick had saved me more that a few fish over the last few years. There is a web site – http://www.flipclipfishing.com that sells them. Just thought I’d pass on the tip.

Sounds like a neat trick. Nice way to save a fish without having to hold them.

How about a trick that makes fish appear in my livewell?

Some guys even put the weights inside of the fish to hold them down in the livewell…

Good idea. never thought of that. I would bet that if you have snap weights they would work as well.
