After my intial post I decided to go back to the spot of the disaster. I tied a 1.5 oz no roll slip sinker with 3 trebles in tow. It was quite the rig, I went in fairly confident I would get my rod back. I had a 7′ heavy action rod and 80lb power pro on a revo stx pulling the dredge combo. After 30 passes,2 million zebra mussels,1 rock, 7 or 8 sticks and 15 clams later I still hadn’t found it. Well to make a long story short i didnt find it. funny part was I caught 2 sheephead and a walleye on that rig . They actually bit the sinker and had the treble in there mouths. I guess I can chalk this one up to lets not do that again. Later, Dan

Crazy about the fish, bummer about the rod.

Where were you fishing? I may take a try.
