Just wondering…since up north, you folks are a lot more familiar with mushroom head jigs…(like Gopher)…

Over past couple of years I’ve been reading some articles by a gentleman (Ned Kehde) who writes for In-fisherman…where he’s outlined in at least 3-4 articles his approach and some key learnings…

using half a senko-type bait on a mushroom head jig…

Just curious if anyone up there a: is using and b: willing to admit it..

Heck Yes! I remember that article and the short senko with a light jig is always a go to for smallies.

    Those short Senko’s don’t work
Just send them to me and I will dispose of them for you

    a): Yup

    b): You betchya

I fished with Chip Leer (used to work for In-Fish) one day last summer, and watched him catch a ton of big ole’ bass that way. He was usin full sized senko type worms, just hooked em half way and let em sink slowly….

Don’t tell the Walleye guys about that rig…it would NEVER work for fall Eyes…

Yeah I don’t think it would work for pre-spawn walleyes on P4 either
