While pre-fishing for a tournament my 4yr old grandson Gunner snaged this nice largemouth. It not a monster but to a 4 yr old it is!

If the bass is longer than the width of the shoulders of the fisherman who caught it, it is a great catch and a big fish! It’s all relative.

Not a toad by any means but she is my first Slop Bass on a Ribbit this season. I need to get out more this year
I kind of forgot how a blow up in a weed mat gets my heart going

Interesting, gutone4me… I was having really good success with the perch-colored spinners/spoons on white bass earlier this year (like in your 3rd picture). That color scheme is fast becoming my go-to for blade baits.

    Great looking smallies!

I took some crap for throwing that but the smallies loved it I believe it was named rainbow bright by my fishing partners

Seems to me that you actually DID have the last laugh, and not due to thinking slowly but for having the guts to try something new and unusual. I’ve got a few DareDevyls in that color scheme… I know what I’ll be trying next time I go casting anything but cut bait.

Here is couple from Wednesday nightleague here in Central Minnesota. We fish different metro lakes every week for 16 weeks. My fishing partner and I have had a 20 or 21 inch fish 4 out of 7 weeks so far. Lovin’ life!

Found a school of these pre-fishing a few weeks ago. Too bad the 18’s went away and we could only boat 17’s the next few days. Still solid fish after the spawn.

that’s only a 19″ ruler…right? Still BIG fish…love it when they start to get white to show around the eyes…

Love this thread…get to see some beautiful fish here…

I’ve only been out twice this year. (Both in the first week after opener) Got one both times out. Pretty much just been bass fishing since. With water temps high and non-sense on the water I usually don’t start hitting it hard until Sept-Nov. The itch is really getting bad though. How have you been doing this year?

I’ve been doing pretty crappy myself

I’ve only been out about 7-8 times, and haven’t even seen a fish

Between working 60 – 80 hrs/wk and doing a remodel on the lower level apartment of my duplex too, it hasn’t been a fun summer

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel though, and it seems that I may have found a tennant, so Sept – Nov I’ll have some catching up to do

Couple nice ones from last weekend on the Mighty Mississipp! One on a jig’n’pig and the other on a buzzbait. Also managed a few smaller ones on crawdad fatrap. Bonus pike and also scraped up a couple small eyes. Can’t beat a mixed bag in October in a T-shirt! Loves it!
