I will be making a trip down to P4 on friday april 2nd and staying overnight with my wife and 2 kids. They want to catch some white bass and I am not sure when this bite normally starts. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance…

you find them the same areas as walleyes. The only issue is they usually don’t start to show up until the water temps are a bit warmer. I haven’t caught any yetg this season. Maybe some others have but in a few weeks it will be much better.

You will be a few weeks early for some fantastic White Bass fishing. They will start coming in in a couple weeks and run increasingly hard into May.
You should find some when you are there. The water will be high but Dean will put you on whatever is there…usually in sunny sandy areas out of the current
They are higher in the water column and hit anything silver and/or flashy. I’ve seen them up to 20″ out of P-4.
