Sunrise Bassmasters Dunce of the Year Award goes to……

Me ! I think. This incriminating picture along with several others will most likely be introduced at our upcoming annual banquet. If your the local fisherman that gave me a ride to my boat…I owe you!

If anyone is looking for a fun club to join, send me a PM. Check out http://www.sunrisebass.com for a schedule. North Branch, MN

Were currently seeking boaters. Think you can fish?? Prove it. One of our younger members was only a few pounds shy of hitting the 100lbs of bass from 7 club tournaments. We certainly struggled to catch him all year! It was just under a 3lb average all year on a 5 fish limit!

We offer a variety of dues structures & welcome all affiliations.

What I wouldn’t give to be in that situation right now, watching the snow fall out the window…

    Nice flat water, looks awesome.

Been there and done that. Did I just really admite to that. If your club would be located closer I’d think about joining. Good luck to you this next season.

Upside is it looks like you remembered the plug.

Those pesky ropes to hold the boat when launching are one of those necessary evils I guess.

And you are right…………..I’m guessing your “buddies” will light you up on this.

I did that on Leech Lake Musky fishing once with my old 219F Stratos.

Luckily I still had my rods in the truck and pitched a Weagle onto the front deck and slowly pulled it back to the dock, of course a competing guide pulled up and seen the whole deal…I have yet to hear the end of it and that was eleven years ago.

We might be a little far for you. Our 2 closest lakes to Savage would be Minnetonka & Medicine 2010. The others are over 80 miles or more from you. Good luck to you this year!

I named my last boat “Put the plug in”… I hoped the lettering was a good enough reminder for putting it in”

    funny
however if you ever watch the elites launch their boats they always do it with no one in it and then just jump in the next guys boat. It is weird the first time you see it but it sure gets guys in and out of the landing fast. Swindle does it in the one classic patterns video – So what you didn’t know but you were just doing it like a pro.

Well I didn’t know that john had this post going! Well he didn’t bother to tell you that we showed up right at launch time for the toiurnament, 7:00 and flying down the hill at 40 that had a speed bump. Then launch the boat, I backed him in and then parked the truck, (seeing how he was my ride, he made me late), forgetting to turn lights off in the truck so we had a dead battery to deal with after the tourney. Ha ha ha!!! Then he went out and sat on this one rock hump for 6 hours thinking he was going to tag some big smallies, I think he got wind burnt pretty good! Then he had this happen and someone took a picture and at the banquet, no one won the award, (I think russ is attached to the award, so he kept it for another season) but yeah, watch out, cameras are everywhere now!!

    Good show though big john!

Russ said his theory was nobody deserved the win the award for floating a boat? Even though he won it twice for that.. Apparently he was willing to negate me so long as it negated him. As a club, we’ve taken action to assure this doesn’t happen again. Introducing, the Floating Boat Award.. not sure what it will look like but something resembling ballons
