Fall Bite

    Hey Guys,
I’m new to this site, and I just wanted to say I love it. I was fishing lake Winona, Sunday 10-25-09, and was having great luck on jigs and grubs. but it was just so clam I had to throw a zara spook just to see it walk across the water and practice my technique, but to my surprise on about the third cast it got blown up by a decent bass. Isn’t it a little late in the season for a top water bite? Thanks for any feedback.

Actually top water is one of my favorite fall tactics. They are looking to fatten up and a big ole shad floppin on the surface is irresistable to them. Dan

Is that how you get ’em on the Little Platte?

Fall bass-in can be some great fishing. I have caught some of my largest fish in the fall.
