Cannon River/Lower Trimbelle River Bass fishing

I was wondering if the Cannon River has a good population of largemouths and smallmouths. I have always heard that there are walleyes but I have never fishied it. Also wondering if it is big enough to get a 12 foot fiberglass boat with a 6 horse motor in… Finally, would smallmouths migrate into a cooler stream that runs into the Mississippi? I have access to it and am wondering if it would be worth a try. I would fish about a half mile from the Mississippi. Any help would be awesome and greatly appreciated!!!

It has a good population of smallmouths and a few largies. Along with everything else that swims in the Mississippi now that the dam is gone in Welch. The water is very low this year. Even have to carry canoe across shallows in a few locations this year.

I fished one of my old haunts on the Cannon last week. I caught 2 giant sheephead, 3 smallies and 1 sauger. Just casting jig and craw for a little while. Water was low and fishing seemed slow. Crawlers probably would have created a lot of action.
