Mille Lacs Smallmouth – Anyone have an update?

    Thinking of heading up there, this week.

    Anyone been out – what about ‘eyes on corks?

    I fished smallies for half an hour on Wed. We caught seven in shallow rocks. They were very active.

    Just got home spent the last ten days there the smallie bite was slow lots of fronts and wind visibility is low on the south side due to wind and algea managed to catch several on plastics, a couple 20 inchers were the best. The bite was not what I was used to at this Time of year . Water Temp was 68 . walleyes are hitting well on cranks and some 12inch perch on cranks Muskie fishing was slow with one 30 incher and my partner caught a 46.5 incher. hope this helps
