    Update –

Did catch one carp today with the IMX 7.5 foot lindy rig rod – rigged with a small 1/32 oz white jig under a float. Once I caught one – it was over. Never saw another Carp.

Now for the good stuff – The LM Bass are “on-fire” out there right now. I caught 18 fish ranging from dinks to one 20.5 inch fish. I did try the topwater for about 45 mins and all I could catch were peanuts. One tiger muskie was snapping at the spook jr but did not eat it.

All the fish were caught outside the milfoil in 8 to 10 feet on 7.5 inch Culprit worms. The Bass wanted it very slow. I would deadstick the worm for 30-45 seconds and then feel the pick up.

Off to Alexandria area for the 4th with the in-laws. Will be hitting a few local lakes.

Happy 4th to all you IDO’s

haha shhhh can’t be talking about Calhoun that way. Congrats on a fun day of fishing. Good luck over the fourth. I will be chasing muskies and dealing with the pleasure boaters before the full moon.
