I have not hear of one person having good luck this year in the smallie department?
I am speaking of those in the 4-7pools on the Miss.
    what’s up?
    Any thoughts?

From what I can tell here in the Lacrosse area that the main river smallies spawned later then the LM so they are still somewhat scattered (saw fish still on beds about a week and a half ago)…they should be where they’re supposed to be soon.

Agreed…So in a couple of weeks you can show me where they are supposed to be!

I’ve been having one of the best years I’ve ever had with the smallies. The numbers are not as high as years past, but the size has been unreal. The number of large smallies has more than made up for the lagre numbers of small one. It has been the norm. to catch several in the 3.5# to 4+ in one outting. Flipping jig has been the hot lure for me this year.

On pool 4 my smallmouth numbers are up but size is down.
I did miss the pre-spawn and it seems the fish are just getting into summer routines.
Lack of current is scattering the fish and usual locations aren’t nearly as productive.

Biting. Not biting. Big ones. Small ones. Best year. Worst year.
Lot’s of good consistent info here…..
Maybe I should fish the Miss. Maybe I shouldn’t fish the Miss.
