My guess is that it may just be me but this spring has really SUCKED so far.
Pool 5a and 6 have been low, the wind has been pretty consistent and my fishing has been far less than stellar.
Please tell me that you have struggled too.

Better yet tell me it’s just me and the fishing has been awesome! This would be better to hear. I can adjust to sucking.

At least you can go fishing. I just had total reconstruction on my shoulder last wednesday Will be off work possibly 20 weeks Have this big foam block velcroed between my body and arm until end of next week, but then a smaller one goes back on.

So get out and fish and post some pics & reports

I always blame the fishing partner! Had good luck at Red Wing during the first week of March on pool 4. Caught mostly sauger, but did get our limit over 4 days fishing. I fish pool 14 fairly regularly and lately the fishing has picked up. Catching eyes on the short side, nice slab crappies and white bass lately. I have had my share of days getting skunked.

Pool 4 has been good for me the times I have gotten up that way during the middle and end of March and then last week but I have only had a few good days on 5A. The last week of Feb and first week of March on 5A were decent and then hit a wall. I had two good outings and 2 bad outings during May on 5A and the two good ones were on wing dams the first week of May.

Good luck and keep at it. Enjoy getting out there.

I’m in the fishing sucks crowd. Been trying a lot of new water lately, has been a bit depressing.

Headed to first Big Bucks Bass tournament series event this weekend. Need to pump up my confidence a bit. Think I am going to head out on my pond and catch a few.

I just wanna say I’m sorry for your misfortune, for I myself am having one of my best springs ever, not so many big fish but enough of them to keep me excited for my next outing!! Although my main goal is to keep some fish in my freezer I love nothing more than hooking into a piggy!! Hope your season gets better just keep drowning bait things will happen!!

This wind has kept me off the lake I fish out of a 12′ boat and i would get rocked when its blowing hard. I have been out twice this spring since the 14th of may. Turkey season kept me from going out too but overall it was a crappy spring for me Im in no hurry to get out during the post spawn either.

Anyone know what stage the bass are in on most lakes??

some are still post spawn and others are in full summer mode. it is hard to say, try some summer patterns and if they don’t go, hit the outside weedline.

fishing has been awsome around here boat control in the big wind is easy if your standing in the water with no boat
