Beautiful evening of fishing

Just a quick post describing my evening of fishing last night. I started out doing what everyone was doing with very little success. I decided to find some lilly pads that were just beginning to come up. Most of them were 6 inches under the water. I decided to tie on my biggest (slowest) spinner and burn it across the tops. On the second cast, my chartreuse/white spinner got smacked. Then, the feeding frenzy began. If there wasn’t a fish on every cast, it for sure was every other. 18 fish were released in the matter of 25 minutes. All the bass caught were in 2-5 feet of water. I caught two females with big bellies. Good luck to you all.

Great find. I was up by the dam yesterday and did what everybody else does and my end result was 8 hours of casting practice and 4 very short fish. Thanks for the report. I tried that idea early this spring with no hits. I guess I was too early. The water temp was 55 to 56 plus when I left. Those boogers have to be some place.
