With a club tourney tomorrow I deciced to stay off the big river and chase some smallies. I chose a creek that feeds a bigger river. I grabbed my st.croix premier 6’6″ lite action with a hand full of BfishN 1/8 oz draggin jigs and a bunch of differant twister tails. The jigs worked awesome and couldn’t be happier in the way they performed. With the river full of wood and rocks I knew a snagless presentation was needed. I did manage to lose one jig when a low hanging branch reached out and grabbed it . I wasn’t dissapointed and the fish cooperated. I probally caught about 30 smallies and was hoping a big ole brown trout would show himself. A very nice trout stream runs into this creek but I didn’t catch any. Most of the bass were between 12 and 16 inches with the biggest beening just under 17″. No monsters but it was a very nice day to get out and get full of ticks . the first 2 pictures are a couple of classic holes I was fishing. The next pictures are a couple of underwater shots I tried to take. Maybe an afternoon trip might be in order. Dan

Cool Dan! The crew missed ya today on our annual run. Basically the same results with 100 % males being caught. A little early for the girls but it’s getting darn close. Unbelievable how fast the creeks rebounded after flowing ooze just last Monday.

Sweet pics dude! I’ll ask you before any one else……what did you buy for a camera!

Thanks Jeff, I really wanted to go but I’m sure you guys managed to have some fun. Most of my fish were on the smaller side with only 3 or 4 hitting 15″. It sure was a nice day for you guys. My girlfriend got me this camera as a gift. Its an Olympus Stylus 850SW. Its obviously waterproof and takes underwater picks. I thought I would try it out today. It took some experimentation to get the right angle. It was tricky because you couldnt see what you were looking at. a couple did make it out alright though .

Great pics. No doubt of the lure you used.
