I took an afternoon trip out on Pool 11 looking for some bass. I tried a few spots i thought would hold some fish with no luck. My patience was running pretty low so I decided to head home. On the way I thought I would try a little river that runs into the river. Theres not much of a launch so getting my boat in was going to be a challenge. Its like a dirt path that hits water. No cement no gravel. Any way found some active fish tucked behind old stumps in 4 foot of water. A brovarny swim jig did all the damage. These were my first bass of the year and it felt nice to feel the pull of those smallies. Caught a dozen nice smallies with a nice 3lb largie and 26″ northern.

nice way to end the trip! Hey, what got the dog’s eye? A bunch of waterfowl awimming around? He doesn’t even care about the commotion going on in the back of the boat.
