    just wondering what the water temps are for lakes in the metro area?? I know that the season doesn’t open until lat may, but at what temp do females start to spawn…56 degrees??

    yeah, right around that temp, depends on the lake, I know that the northern lakes are a little behind the city lakes, but most of them are starting to around the 55 or 56 degree temps.

    IS THERE A WEB LINK THAT SHOWS CURRENT WATER TEMPS. MOST OF THE LAKES IN SOUTHERN MN. ARE STILL AROUND LOWER 40’S.

    Shane, are you sure you are correct on the water temps. I saw those kind of temps on Table Rock two weeks ago but did not think we had that warm of water anywhere in Minnesota.

    I HEARD THIS MORNING THAT TONKA WAS OFFICIALLY “ICE FREE”.WHATEVER THAT REQUIRES.
