    This smallie is my first of 2009 and my 2nd biggest Illinois smallie. I caught it out of a creek that is about 10′ wide. It came on a black and red chigger craw rigged on a parasite weights sweet shakey. It was fun trying to figure out how to get her up to the top of the bridge

    didnt measure or weigh anything, every fish was released after a fast picture. and hey you dont only get nice ones, sometimes those little ones get in there

    For a change of pace, I ended up on an West Metro Lake this morning with a friend of mine. I think we had six flyrods between us and about 1000 flies. And what do you know, we caught some fish. The best was this 20 incher that hit a deer hair topwater over some coontail.

    Here is a few smallies from this morning all on a mille lacs area lake but not the pond. fun fishing for a few hours till it got hot and couldnt find the fish anymore. the last picture the one on the left i had to keep he swallowed the tube so far i could only see the top of the tube and the eye of the hook.

    Mississippi River Pool 8 Bass on a musky plug.
    This toad slammed an Orange Tiger Tally Wacker while casting for Pike with authority.
    I was also impressed with the fight this toad put up while being hauled in on Heavy tackle. The pig was diggin’ for cover like a buffalo running from Indians.
