I was reading an article in the Bassmaster magazine the other day and came across an article titled Why Pros Leave it To Beaver. I thought it was pretty catchy. The article was about beaver-style baits. I was wondering if any of you guys out there have tried any of these or which are your favorite brands. Thanks for the input!

Go to small mouth bait on rivers, I use Reaction Innovations “Smallie Beavers” all the time. Works really well where there are alot craws present. I use mostly the greens and browns and I Texas rig them with a 2/0 Gam Wide gap and pop them off the rocks. Deadly

I use them too for smallies on the river. but I use different colors and I use a 4/0 or a 5/0 hook because I like to catch my smallies and I don’t enjoy losing them.. and trust me that hook is Not too big.. not for the regular size beav..

I see that they have a 5.20 DBL Wide Beaver…ever try any of those for largies?

Reactions Innovations aren’t widely available in Madison which is completely ridiculous, but I’ve been using the gander mtn brand Yomama with pretty good success.

Northland Slurpies brush beaver is a good choice.

I like the Reaction Innovations Sweet beavers and I use a lot of the Yamamoto Flappin Hog beaver style bait.

All I can tell you is that they work very well rigged with a Title Shot jig!
