How do you choose

What makes it into your boat.
I like most have more fishing tackle than I need to carry in the boat. Recently I unloaded the boat and realized how much I was carrying
My problem is that I have a case of the what if’s: what if I need this, what if I need to downsize, what if I run out of a certain plastic or color, what if, what if, what if.
I know that if I am planning on fishing different species I only grab those baits but even that can become overwhelming. I can catch smallies on tubes, stick baits, sweet beavers, paddletails, fat ikas, K-grubs, flukes, and that is just some of your choices for plastics, now add in the plethora of color choices and it can make ones head spin.
How do you decide what to take and what does not make the trip.
