This is one area that I have problems with – finding productive sloughs. I fish the river a couple of times a year, and have spent hours in “Dead” sloughs. I have looked for sloughs that have a reasonable amount of flowing or moving water, timber, willows or maples, or green weeds. I catch enough bass to have an OK time, but never seem to consistantly find quality size bass. What do you look for throughout the year?
Good sloughs Vs. Bad sloughs
