I was able to check these out today. I don’t imagine they’ll last long on the shelves.

They’re a VERY nice looking crankbait.

    What size Fat Rap?

If you’re wondering about a #5 Fat Rap, from what I saw, it’s not close. It’s just as wide if not a little wider and a lot taller.

As for the #7 Fat Rap, the thickness is comparable, but it’s not as tall.

The DT-3 is an impressive piece of wood.

I have been using the DT series for a couple of years now and really love the variety. It is about time that they came out with a DT3 and now they only have to come out with a DT1 and the world would be a better place.

Something tells me they will, perhaps in 2009.

When/where do you envision using this bait Blue?? DT=Dive To, right??

I’ve had a ton of success on the fat raps in the past for eyes, but as you are aware they are hard to come by now days. So, I’m wondering if these baits would “perform” equivalently.

    Thanks!!

    Yes.

A bait like this I’d be willing to throw just about anywhere and throughout the season.

I could see it working very well for Smallies on shallow wingdams.

The DT’s in the deeper models work well for Walleyes on pool 7.

I’m not sure there’s a bait out there that performs as well as the old Fat Rap.

I bought a handful of these yesterday. To say I’m a little excited to try them would be an understatement.

I think they were used though….they all had water spots on them.

you must have gotten the tank tested products… now, if they had teeth marks, you would have gotten the ones that work

sorry…just freakin’ out a bit…it’s March 10 and we still don’t have the decent beginnings of open water…

I hear they reserve those cranks and send them to guys like Slop Bass so they know the bait does in fact catch fish and they also know what a crank bait looks like with teeth marks in it.
