I cannot wait for the upcoming Bass season!! Mostly hoping to find some open water soon. 
I have some great looking baits to try out. The first 2 are brand new. I just bought them last night. Both are from Strike King and they are part of the new Rage Tail series of plastics. The white one is the new Rage Shad and the green with red flake is a Rage Toad. The tail on these baits looks like it should really throw some water. I have to say, these baits look and feel awesome. A guy should be able to cast these plastics a mile as well.
The tube is also from Strike King. It’s from their Coffee Tubes line of plastics. These tubes are heavily salted and in fact smell like coffee. Although, I expected more of an aroma from them.
I’ve had these tubes since the late part of last year, and have put a few fish in the boat using them. They hold up well but I’m really looking forward to putting them through their paces this year. The natural colors should make them a great bait for the early Smallmouth bite. 
Lastly but certainly not least, is the Yamamoto Flappin’ Hog. Just like the tubes, I’ve had these since late last fall. I actually ordered them together. 
Again, similar to the tubes, I’ve caught fish on these. I expect the Flappin’ Hogs to be a fantastic all-season bait.
They should work well as a stand-alone bait or rigged on a carolina rig as well as hooked on a flippin’ jig.
My application last fall was using them on a Super Doo head and they did a fine job rigged in that fashion.
It’s hard having these baits in my hands and not having a place to fish them. 
I strongly encourage you guys to check these baits out. They’ll make great additions to your tackle box/bag.
