If anyone has any tips or tricks they would like to share to get us through these winter months please do so. I’ll get us started.

I thought I’d throw out a quick tip. Many anglers like to try to match the weight colors to the plastic they are throwing. Something I started doing last year was instead of throwing out my used plastics it kept them. Sort them by colors so they don’t bleed with the other colors you use. Then after have at least a good hand full what I do is melt them down and dip my lead weights and jig heads in them. This gives you a custom color to match your plastics you are throwing. This system isn’t the most durable especially around rock or wood, but it is cheap and doesn’t take but a few minutes to do. One thing I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve thought about dipping them in an epoxy to add some durability to the colored weight. Either way it’s something that works well for me.
