if shallow, don’t forget skitter props, noisy surface lures.

Shane – you won’t answer your phone but you respond to this? Do you want to go smallie fishing this Saturday with me?

My son and I used 4 – 6″ shiner minnows on a Gamakatsu size 1 offset shank worm hook with a small split shot 12″ up the line last Thursday. We had a blast as they were chomping on them. Some would thump it, others would run with it and other times it was like dead weight on the line. We had at least 6 doubles. Went through 6 dozen shiners in about 6 hours so if you go with minnows bring plenty. Good luck and have fun.

give some white tubes a shot on an internally weighted jig head. If that doesn’t work, its hard to beat a carolina rig with some sort of crayfish imitator

White Flukes on Swim Jigs work well too.

I will be going to Green Lake in Spicer on Saturday and might have someone going with me, but if it falls through, is anyoune intrested? You would have to drive seperatley cause I am spending the night out there and have a guiding trip the next day. I am planning on being there at first light and fishing till dark (lots of action). I can pick you up at the launch and drop you off whenever. Give me a PM if intrested.

    Vet,

One suggestion I might make is too have some hair jigs (white or black), some search lures like a few deep diving cranks. All us fails lindy rig some bigger minnows off those sharp breaks….Find one and you should find a pile of them!

Good luck and let us know how you do?
