well I got the pleasure of taking a father son out today for a day on the water. i donated a day of fishing to chris winchester’s St. Judes benefit. anyway, I changed the lake from minnetonka to chisago, so we met up in forest lake and headed out to the lake. we got there and the wind was already picking up, so we went to my first spot and tossed some texas rigged lizards. I know, lizards in the middle of summer. well I hit the first fish of the morning, a big one, a 5 pound 7 ounce largie. what a pig!!! we then fished some more, nothing really dramatic happened so I figured to let the spot rest a little and head to the other few spots that I had on the lake. on our way back through the channel, the father hits a 1 1/2 pounder, we then cruz and fish some docks and the son connects on one about the same size, then than make it back to the rocks and started to fish again, and I whack 2 3 pounders back to back along with a few shorties. so in my 6 fish that I caught today, I would have had a bag of about 13 pounds in 4 fish. we where getting bites all day on anything we threw, just not hard hitting ones. 2 of my big fish where just dead weight on the end of my line. the last big one was hungry and killed the bait. if it wouldnt have stormed last night, we would have gotten into some hogs today. anyway, I wil post the pictures here in a second.
