The Rage Shad looks just like the old Lunker City Salad Spoons.

they should catch a doggie or two as well……..

They were (are) actually really nice bass baits too, kinda a Horny Toad type bait before there were Horny Toads.

They are a great Bass bait. Whenever you mention them I think of the time on Lake Onalaska when you were feeding those pike all your Salad Spoons.

For those of you not familiar with the Lunker City Salad Spoon, here’s the link. Just click on Salad Spoon on the left.

I forgot about that night they were taking all those Salad Spoons. Frickin snot rockets and their razor teeth.

At least it was alot cheaper than when they take a 8 dollar Spro Frog these days.

I’m sure I am cursing myself saying this, but I haven’t caught many pike at all in the last month or so.

I’d recommend leaving any baits you have that cost over $5 at home….at least for a month or so…

    Nice dig Blue!

That chunk might be good on a swim bait. It looks wide enough that it might help the bait stay higher and run straight.

My wife thanks you for finding more plastics to try.

Rage Tail Shad and Toad are anise scented. Chunk and Craw will be combination craw scent and very light anise.

The appearance might be similar, but the action is much different. Since this bait is totally soft plastic and the tail is designed to run in the upright position, it provides extreme action and water movement very similar to hard plastic or metal buzz baits. The big advantage is no prop to get hung up in the salad and this bait is not a standard straight-line retrieve. The head of the bait drives from side to side, much like a crank bait and the tail slashes from side to side, throwing a tremendous amount of water. Can slow retrieve and walk it on surface as well. Great noise.

Strike King tried to get them out for the BMC earlier this year but took the Mold shop too long to get’em perfect. Several Pros using the prototypes now. Another 4 to 6 rage tail designs coming out right behind these, I think they are gonna be great.

OH I have a few lakes to try those on.
I might need to sell some TD’s to make room for them though
