After having done so well with Sliderfisn on Mille Lacs I would have to choose a 4″ Mizmo tube in Ouachita Special on a 7 foot Medium Light spinning rod. It’s hard not to stay with a very good thing…..
July 25, 2007 at 1:03 am #593632A 5-inch Yum Dinger in Green Pumpkin/Chart. Tail, Texas rigged with a 1/8 oz weight. I can fish it in just about any type of cover and if there’s fish there, they’ll generally bite it eventually.
July 25, 2007 at 2:07 am #593649shimano low-profile caster, 7ft medium-fast tip guide series rod, texas riged 7 inch power worm- pumpkinseed, and 1/8 ounce slip wait.
July 25, 2007 at 2:50 am #593666Well….Chartreuse spinnerbait with a white Mr. Twister trailer, single spin with a 3.5 inch long willow leaf blade attached with a ball bearing swivel. 15 or 20 pound Power Pro, Garcia 5500C3, 7 foot medium heavy fast action rod.
I know, I know worms work better….but I have a lot of confidence in that presentation and I can fish it many different ways.

Rootski,
Confidence is an anglers biggest asset! I agree. My choice for river smallies up here would be a Large Pop-R on a 6’6″ St. Croix medium action with a ex-fast action tip on a Shimano 1500 series spinning reel. This presentation does day in and day show and catch big smallies up here.
July 25, 2007 at 1:39 pm #5937347′ MH baitcaster with 30lb PowerPro, and a 5″ pearl/smoke Yumdinger texas rigged on a 3/0 offset red Gammie worm hook…. weightless. It can be fished anywhere, anytime!
July 25, 2007 at 1:47 pm #593738I got a “special, secret weapon” spinnerbait that I wouldn’t leave home without it!!!!!
AND
I’d have a BIG bag of bass!DZ and Blue will see these in action in the next few weeks!

July 26, 2007 at 5:20 am #5940946’6″ St.Croix triumph medium fast, Flueger Purist, 14# Vanish with a 3/4 oz G-loc swim jig with a Pro Tour Bait 2.75″ crazy chuck trailor
Working well on 4-5 pounders lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
July 26, 2007 at 2:59 pm #594186Tough call if you are talking a bait for all seasons.
I guess I would go with a Sweet Beaver, 1/4 oz weight, Color not too important, but across all seasons I would probably pick a black color like Penetration or Hematoma.
Senko would be a close 2nd, but sucks for high winds.
July 26, 2007 at 7:26 pm #5943357 foot St Croix with Shimano Curado spooled with 14lb Sulfix Elite flipping a Chompers white 4in tube 3/16oz weight 3/0 EWG Gami hook.

Posts: 14August 28, 2007 at 12:47 pm #603785I would choose a 7 ft med hvy Falcon Cara with Shimano Curado and use a 3/16 oz jig (color depending on water and day Color) with Strike Kings new Rage Tail Chunk. Day in and day out that chunk gets it done. Super slow or fast retrieve, the action is unbelievable and drives fish crazy. Beats the Paca hands down.
