Not to sound like a broken record, but 6/20 PowerPro once it is broken in works great. I say 6/20 not 4/15 because you never know when you might get wrapped around a bolt, or get pulled across a sharp edge, a little more abrasion resistance goes a long way.

I use 20 pound stealth (spiderwire) I use a 15 pound leader of PLine Flouroclear.

I prefer fireline or stealth over power pro on spinning gear, but the line classes that were mentioned above should do you right in any superline…8 lb mono skips the best, but you lose the abrasion resistance. spray your spool down with reel magic every 20 casts or so with superline and you’ll notice a huge difference

Baitcaster ? Must be that time on the water thing..I envy you ! I’ll end up nested most of the day unless I use a spinning rod. 7ft MH spinning setup here with some type of superline. Have used power pro & the fireline with good results in all colors.

I get the occational backlash but if you watch for small loops to form and cast them out you can usually keep big birdnests away.

I usually try and skip baits that skip well, like senkos and jig, which also helps cut down on backlashes. The worst thing for a birdsnest is a bait that grabs the water and doesn’t skip.

i also use 6/20 yellow powerpro, but only when using plastics for bass. yellow has good visibility in low light conditions and the line reacts great when i dead line senkos and thats coming from a guy with fireline on almost all other rods.

You need to ask Chriss’s wife if she will give the seminar, I hear that she is better than him
