I picked up a couple of packs of these for an upcoming river smallmouth trip. They look really good. Looking for any comments about them. Likes or dislikes. what’s the best way to fish them? texas rigged or on a jig as a trailer? are they as good as the “sweet beaver” type baits?

They are considerably softer than a beaver and have a great fall because of it. They are great for punching matts because of the skinny body. Downside is they tear up easy.

I haven’t tried them yet. Just too much other stuff to use. They look like a great bait with many different applications.

I’d believe it when Kizew says they tear easily.

just like a paca craw tube but a solid body. i have had a little luck with them but the color selection here in lacrosse sucks. they have the norms watermelon and the like but i think power bait has better.

I use them on jigs. Seem to work as well as anything I guess. Maybe fall a bit faster, which I like…compared to a regular Power Craw.

There is definitely a lack of color options. Mainly BLACK…doesn’t anyone think black is a good color anymore!

Basically a Paca Craw with a solid body instead of a tube body. Same great action.

Better than the Beaver style baits? Tough to say, both are really good, but quite different. 2 of my favorite baits.

Black doesn’t work anymore? News to me……..

For small mouth I put them on a 1/8th or 1/4oz football head jig and crawl it across the rocks and wood. Works great. the real trick that I do is to dip the pinchers in chartruce spike-it dip. this really makes the lure pop and the bass key in on it. I have caught many small and largemouth bass in the 3-5 lb range on this.

I will try the football jig. i had it texas rigged with a 1/8 oz sliding sinker. nice tip about the spike-it.
