I hear that, any top-water is awesome!!! just yesterday i had a 34 inch northern come out of the water an destroy one of my frogs with a fun and long fight. Yeah watching a fish blow up on top-water is always fun.

Frogs on 8 are working quite well. Found some fish stacked in slop the other day. It was the wierdest thing ever, we pulled like 5 keepers (2 to 2-1/2 lbers) out of one isolated patch of slop (about 5 ft by 5 ft) The frog bite is on, but imo its not the best thing going. I have had my best success with swim jigs in eel grass, and senkos on weedlines and banks.
Pool 9 is completely different it seems. I spent the entire day on 9 Wednesday, and the fish just weren’t in the grass whatsoever. caught a few, but the biggest was 14″ long. the best thing going down there was mud points with wood. Some places were just absolutely loaded. For that pattern, the flipping jig gets my vote.

A swim Jig. You can fish them so many different ways. I absolutely hammered them on Lake Wisconsin last weekend. Must have caught about 30 in an hour and a half from 12-16 inches.

1/4oz black Beetle spin. Boated a 21″er and a 20″er on it. I have been using them ever since the Chummin’ Minnow was discontinued. Why the heck did the discontinue it anyway? I caught loads of fish on those when I was a kid .

i was out today and the best lure was a texas rigged 7″ worm with a ribbon tail. put a slide bullet weight up front and worked it slowly, produced some big fish, too bad I didn’t have the camera with, I could have taken pictures to show you.
