    That’s a super doo.

If I remember correctly B-F-N used to make a hook specifically for the Doo’s but was discontinued. I don’t recall what they look like.

    Anyone….Anyone……Buhler?

Have you guys seen these big shot tubes that Venom makes. They come 4″ long and are just over and inch wide. They are a trick to rig up sometimes but when the fish are looking for something with a bigger profile they are awesome.

I’m pretty positive that’s the same tube(shape & size) sold by VooDoo.

i only go smaller during tough times and like you said spring

I don’t really agree with that statement. Unless you define “tough times..”

I like to throw big baits in the spring and fall, and smaller baits in the summer. This goes with pretty much any bait, not just tubes. Sometimes it takes finnesse on the beds, but really, when I am fishing in the spring, I am going for bigger bass which calls for the bigger bait. Any surviving shad from the winter are VERY BIG at this point and that also calls for bigger baits. Same goes for in the fall when the shad are at peak living size. Summer fish become pressured and I either break out a swim jig or a 4″ watermelon/red fleck baby brush hog. 3″ tubes in the same color from zoom or powerbait kick some smallie butt on the main channel at that time.

Would that be all those two lbers you caught this spring?

Sorry Cade had to give you a hard time because in your reports this spring you seemed to struggle to find those bigger bass. You usually have some sort of species dialed in year round.

The forage is largest during Spring and late Fall. If you want to match the hatch this is somewhere to start. There are always exceptions though.

Have any of you guys had any luck with pink’s? Late last fall we were experimenting on the river with some light pink hair jigs and were surprised to see some positive reaction. In about 10 days…I will launch assault #2 and see if it was a fluke or not!
