A bit of luck last Saturday

    Went on a short trip with my son-in-law & another good friend. We found some smallies & had a great afternoon pitching jigs & gulp along the docks in 3-15 fow on a medium sized lake just a bit west of Sauk Center. All fish were caught, photographed, & released to be caught again. The fish were 17.5″, 17.8″, 18.5″……..all personal bests. We caught about 30-40 more, while also catching about twenty northerns. The northerns were smaller, so we released them, too.

    Smallies have been my New favorite fish for about 5 years
    now, such an awesome fish.

    Looks and sounds like you guys had an awesome day on the water! Congrats on all the PB’s, it’s always a blast catching pig smallies!!

    I have caught some on the Zumbro, and they are amazing! Even the tinier ones just go wild! These were all so strong! Amazing couple of days fishing!
