I use the vmc spin shot hooks [#6] for drop-shotting panfish.

May be I should say that this is a technique that I want to add to my arsenal this year. I have watched Aaron Martin good fairly well on my local waters the last two years with this technique. So any suggestions related to drop shooting would be welcomed.

    Thanks,

FWT Gander had them on sale on Monday. I picked up a few packs.

I use VMC spin shot 1/0 for bass. I like the Dream Shot plastics too fwiw.

The VMC Spinshot requires (2) line ties, the Gammy Spinshot only has one…otherwise they both work great and eliminate most of the line twist.

I really like the VMC spin shot hooks for drop shoting it does ago of job of keeping line twist out and the hook always faces up. The size depends on what bait I am using on it.

Curious to why one can’t take whatever hook with an extra long end off a snell knot, does the line twist that bad? Seems the hook would always be facing up, haven’t drop shotted much at all but will he trying it out sometime.

It really matters what your using for bait. Some plastics will work like a fan blade and twist the heck out of your line. other baits sit much more straight and are a non-issue
