Wondering if its just me or the crazy weather year we’ve had. Usually late September is about peak bass fishing for me. In the past week I spent about 2.5 days fishing two different rivers and a smaller lake that is usually a guarantee for catching fish. We tried plastics, spinnerbaits, crank baits, speed trolling, sucker minnows, nightcrawlers, bobbers…
Net result was one 11 inch largemouth. In the dead of August, we usually were catching 5-15 bass in a half day of fishing and the occasional decent sized northern.
Skunked – haven’t been shut out like that in awhile. Anyone else having difficulties? Is it barometric pressure, weather fronts, bio-rhythms..? Ha! Or just me… maybe I need to go back to golf (please, no…).
