This past weekend I decided that instead of dealing with all the local boat traffic on a holiday weekend that I would hit the water early and get off the water when it started getting busy. The temperature really dropped over night and when we got to the landing the fog was incredibly thick, which made for a picturesque backdrop. At one point after catching a fish and taking a photo I would’ve had no idea where we were on the lake if it wasn’t for the GPS. The best part of the fog was watching a big smallie crush a Rapala skitter walk on the second cast! The top water bite did start to die off as the sun finally burned off the morning fog, but the bass were still active for us till early afternoon when the boat traffic picked up and we packed up!
