My uncle wanted some fish so we got away this afternoon for some bass & northern. Brought canoe to small lake. Was still a little windy so we went thru a ditch to an even smaller lake (I’m guessing 5 acres). Good shelter from wind and a little warmer water. Had good bass action pitching to shore. Wacky rigged Senkos seemed to be best presentation but spinners worked as well. Lost biggest bass at canoe (guessing 19″) but landed a handful in the 17″ plus/minus range. Did 2 1/2 laps around the lake. Entertaining start to bass season.

Bass aren’t my first choice to eat but I think they turned out okay.

Nice looking fish! They do taste good when prepared correctly.
