Pool 2 Bass Report

    I hit Pool 2 on Sat. from 2-7. The fishing is real good right now. Fished 3 or 4 different backwaters and all of them held good #’s of fish. The water Temps were in the upper 60’s with a few low 70’s in the later afternoon. Only saw a few fish on Beds but all females caught were about to burst. I think this next week or so should be on fire for some nice big fish. The Best largemouth for the day was a nice fat 20.5″ fish. Also caught a 19.25″ Smallie. The hot Lures of the day were a white spinnerbait and a white chatterbait. I did manage a few fish on a jig but they seemed to want the moving bait a little better. If you have the time and want to catch some nice river fish near the metro now is the time to get some on pool 2. Have fun and be safe !!!!

    I was alone and did not think I had the boat camera ( I did – Found it later while looking for my pliers ) My old flip phone does not take good photo’s thats for sure.

    Not fishing the classic – Those fishermen and you are out of my class.

    Nice report!
    May I ask where were you seeing high 60s and low 70 water temps on pool 2 saturday? Highest I seen out there Saturday was 63.2.

    Back in the back of some barge areas as well as the back part of grey cloud
