    hose,
big marine is probably closer to forest lake. i have not been up there for quite awhile, descent multi-species lake. quite a few bass tournaments do fish it and is quite popular.
    good luck,

A great lake to fish if you like catching smallish bass on deep weedlines using a fairy stick (spinning rod), 8lb. mono, and a jigworm. Also in this category, White Bear, Le Homme Dieu, Balsam, and Wappogaset.

Big Marine is a fun bass lake, but I like White Bear better. A lot of big bass in WB, even some big smallies.

Thanks for the replies. I plan on spending time at the river but my old lady is preggers so I dont think she will like the bigger wake of the river. looking for a few inland spots to take her. Thanks again

If you decide to head out to White Bear, remember the lake is about seven feet low, be very careful, the water level offset for the Humminbird-Lakemaster chip is very useful…
