    Are we done yet….We can all have success with different equipment. Been a long winter, bring on open water .

    anyways,
    venture in the Milfoil (which is not super dense) will be with a Dobyns 7’9″MedHvy Fast action stick…40# 832 Camo Braid on a Lew’s Super Duty reel. Starting with a 1 oz slip jig…I will adjust accordingly…

    that should be more than enough depending if you are fishing mats on top or just the stalks of foil that are under the surface. it may take some time to locate the fish,but it can be worth it.

    personally i only go with a 7’6″ mh pithin stick with 20 lbs mono and have no problem breaking fish off or getting them out of the foil. i don’t usually fish the mats because of the depth were most of the mats are formed

    Wow…didn’t expect all that but I am happy to keep up with this topic when open water finally comes and we be flippin, punchin and pitchin for real!
