I am wondering what length leader is used.
What method is used to fasten it to the braid a knot or a snap, swivel, etc.
Only leader I used years ago was a wire leader when we fished for toothy northerns, used to just tie on the Rapalas when casting for bass. They were the hottest thing around, the ole Finnish minnow floater diver that is.
Ah yes, I remember that oh so well.

    Thanks for reading.

I use either a uni to uni knot or i tie in a ball bearing swivel. it depends on what lures i am going to use.

Go with the uni to uni knot! Reels through the rod guides without damaging them and you can use 6+ ft without it getting too short if you re-tie a lot. It may seem hard to tie at first but keep practicing, it will become second nature in no time

I use the modified albright knot seems stronger than uni to uni and easier to tie.

My dropshot leaders in clear water can be 8-10 ft long.

Here is a video of the Alberto knot (modified albright knot??). Real easy to tie and a demonstration by Alberto himself. Almost seems upset it took this long for everyone to catch on.

I have used this knot to tie fluor. to braid with great results. I even like how the knot goes through your rod eyes so smooth.

Use the Alberto all the way. Much stronger and more reliable than the back to back uni. Also thinner and slips through guides easier.
