I had the chance to skip out of work early Friday afternoon and headed straight for the river. The smallie bite has been doing well on Pool 8 and catching a few of these bronzed colored acrobats was on my mind.

Not getting a start until 1 o’clock the thought was the smallies would be off the tops of the rock and hanging deeper, and they were.

The Rapala DT 8 and DT 10 made picking apart the ends of wing dams a breeze. Pictured here was the nicest of the night.

Very nice Bret. Those are great cranks baits. Cast a mile and run deep.

    Walleyes love em also

I have only one of this color left for the fall feeding frenzy, and can not find this color anywhere, so if anyone knows where I can pick up a few in the next few weeks.

I started using them on a rock wall along a train tracks down on pool 9 last year, and they were killer. I left a couple behind in snags, but tried a lot of other cranks and none produced like the DT8. Bounce it hard off the rock and bammmm…. fish on.

Is there such a thing? And if there is, where does one get one?

Are you talking about the DT Thug?

    Yup, love the DTs…

…and shame on you Bret for getting me excited about the new DT-8!

    Actually, been wishin’ for a DT-12 for a while…I know, I can throw a DT-14 on 25# flouro…don’t want to…

Another request would be all of the DT depths in the largest DT body…
