Learn tips for fishing football jigs for huge late-summer largemouth bass in upper Midwest states like Minnesota and Wisconsin. Bass Utopia blog’s Jason Holmer (bassutopia.com) dials in the bite, providing In Depth Outdoors’ “Hooked Up!” host Greg Huff with best hour of fishing in his life.

Hard to beat that kind of bite. Looks awesome!

Indeed, Justin, it WAS awesome. Hence me going completely mental and cackling like a mad man! That footage was filmed last August.

Looking forward to filming with you again — next week maybe? What’s your schedule look like? … Got any place in your area that would be good for a football head/shakey head bite?

    Keep in touch!

We need to put a heart beat monitor on you during these shoots. I’d say you were running 130+ after those first couple fish.

That’s why we all do it… that one special, incredible day keeps us dreaming and coming back for more.

You got that right, James! … As I was editing the footage, I kept laughing to myself about how completely I geeked out.

What a day that was …

What was the bait used on the football jigs?

I was using Net Bait Paca Craw trailers in the “magic craw” color. Jason was using Chigger Craws. — Greg
