    Well –

It is that time of year – when I can start getting out for a few hours in the AM.

Was on that water at 8:30 AM, post day care drop off.

Was able to go thru the examination with flying colors. She said the boat was so clean….Wow…Just normal clean.

Eased off and fished from 4-22 feet of water. The bass are schooled off the edge, under the sunfish in 15 feet of water over 25 feet of water.

The only way I could get them to bite was a jig worm or a rattle trap thru the school.

Caught 6 fish in 4 hours. It was slow and nothing of size to report.

Need to go to a pad lake – not a fan of the deep bite.

Not a fan of the dep bite – Are you crazy. I’ll take a school of big fish deep anyday. Pad fishing can be fun but with all the missed blowup’s and lost fish wrapped aroung the pads or having to race thru a ton of pad and digging thru a ball of pads and weed to find the fish is not even there – No give me a great Deep bite anytime

    I like pulling a 5 lb bass thru the junk….after a toliet flushing explosion….

Deep can be fun and very rewarding if you get the school fired up.

However, I did not have any rocks to smash a crankbait into….

This is fun fishing – not tournament fishing….

Can’t agree more. I love a shallow bite. The explosion and fight of a shallow fish is incredible. I will go deep if I have to but that’s only for tournaments. If I’m out having a good time (which is every time i must add) I always enjoy a shallow bite.

Love the Blow-Ups thru thick slop but catch many more deep.
