What do you guys use to fish deep that keep contact with the different types of bottom and will keep the fish buttoned? Weeds can be hard to judge contact ability and how deep it goes in cabbage.

I like an arky style in 3/8 and 1/2 myself.

I like a 1/2-3/4 football jig. I got a box full of the All terrain FB jigs. got a nice sharp hook lighter wire. pick your own trailer. football shape works ok in weeds too.
If you talkin’ summer, don’t give up on a 10″ worm either…

When fishing deep structure its hard to beat a Football head jig.. When I pick colors I try to match my jig color with the bottom color. Usually, a dark green pumpkin or browns get the job done. If I go punching in the jungle I will use a more streamline jig head(or texas rig) to pull through the weeds easier. Hope that helps!

I agree 100% with you guys who say a football is best for deep structure, but if you have deep structure and weeds then you can not beat an arky style. I love them so much I started making my own and have not went back. The arky has the wide profile like a football, so it works great drug along deep structure, but also is a little more stream lined so it comes through weeds a lot better than a football.
