Roller jigs/ Football heads. Work well in the summer on top of rocks. Most of the time you don’t want any weeds really on the rocks. Just dragging them on top. Water temp really doesn’t play much of a factor but you just have to see if the fish wanna eat it. They work great.

    All Year!

One of the “go to” baits anytime for me, especially now when the bass are deep. I match the jig/craw color to the crayfish the live in my area, which many are invasive Rusty Crayfish. They run from melon green to purplish to tan/red.

I generally fish 1/4 to 3/8oz jigs when the bass are holding deep during hot weather.

Favorite rig…Dobyns 743, Lews Tournament Pro, 10# fluoro

    Quality USA, hand poured jigs…
    elk river jigs
    great craws…
    Revolution Baits

These are also fun to make and not too difficult if you desire to spend the initial investment for materials

    football jig molds

They also have the weed guards and hooks! Paints and glues you may need… plus all the lead melting and handling gear you might need:

    lead melting gear

A lot of this stuff can be bought locally but these guys prices look pretty decent… but if you want took/touch first or buy locally, here you go, their MN dealer list.

I like the all terrain football jig. the green purple color perfect. try a 3″ chigger craw for a trailer. Zoom super chunk Jr. too. throw it everywhere, year round.
