I have been fortunate enough to get out the last couple of weeks and have done really well fishing. We have targeted the lakes around the metro. Fortunatly, I was able to get out this Wednesday when the temps where crazy warm to Waconia and the fish where snapping. (20 bass in ~3 hours nothing smaller that 16″) We have been getting fish fishing the inside weed edges in the 4-7 feet throwing swimjigs, small cranks and the occassional spinner bait. The bass (and some muskies and northerns) are hammering the bait. i am hoping we have a little more time before we need to start thinking about slowing down.

None of these fish are mine, they are my brothers or my buddy. the Big bass was 20.5″ and the rapala scale said 5.5# but has come up ~.5-.75# lower than they actual wieght during tournement weigh-ins, so my guess it was ~6+#. It was a piggie and caught by a dock on a swimjig.
