Bass Fishermen – Hummingbird – Best map chip

    Just curious what map chip most of you are using in the hummingbird units. I have a friend who just purchased 2 new units and is not sure what map chip to buy for it. I’ve always ran lakemaster but I know some like the Navionics. Does one stand out better than the other for Bass fishing?

    I have the Nav gold that came pre-loaded in the units. The Lakemaster has more detail on most lakes

    So do all the units come preloaded with Nav Gold ? or did you pay to have yours loaded with it prior to delivery?

    On my 1197, like many others, it had the option of coming pre-loaded. If you go to the H/bird web-site, you’ll see many models have multiple item numbers. Looks like I stand corrected. I only see them listed now with & without transducers. Couple years ago, they were all listed with & without Navionics
