Pitching some Beaver

    Alex and I did some bassin today. We pitched some beavers hooked up weightless under the trees and hammered the bass. We did not get into anything real big but had a blast bangin away on the easy pickins in the shade, WOW are some of the lakes up with all this rain. The bass count was at 32 when we left the lake, 7 smallies and the balance made up with greenies. Alex woke me up this morning at 5:30am and said “I want to go fishing”…It took about 5 minutes for me to get out of bed, hook up the boat and we were on our way.

    I love when the weekend starts off this way

    The day got a little better, Alex got his butt kicked by a nice river bronzie. At one point I think he was ready to hand me the rod, AWESOME

    My new fathers day hat is getting broke in…..by Alex!

    Looks like the only thing better than the fishing was the MEMORIES you and your son now have together….

    Great Smallmouth Alex, they sure ARE FUN to catch.

    Alex now has a one track mind, river smallies. Muskie fishing just got put to the back burner
