What baits are your “Go to!”baits? What do you typically throw during this time? What depths do bass usually transition to, etc? Im having one heck of a time getting a bass to bite right now, let alone find them Im getting a little superstitious so please tell me your secrets

I was out today. Got them on swim jigs and traps in an area with a deep break, but fish were in 2 feet of water. Fish are super skinny. Had a 17.5 incher that went 2.5#.

    Finesse…Finesse…Finesse
Smaller, slower moving offerings like swim jigs, tubes and drop shot techniques…4-5″ stick worms with 8-10# flouro just above the emergent grass/weeds.

The females will usually move from their spawning areas to the closest dropoff or contour break to recuperate. You should be catching males still in the spawning areas as they will guard the nests for a time after the girls leave…Hard to tell w/o know the body of water you are fishing…

Agreed edges and new weeds. Slow is the word. Depth depends on wherever the new weeds are, the fish will be there. With this slow spring fish are shallower than last year due to delayed weed growth at least in northern wi.

What do bass usually do in a lake where instead of breaks, the bottom gradually gets deeper with a lot of submerged trees The lake is deep and rated A+ for clarity. Water temps today were 67-68 tough lake to fish right now

Weightless Flukes and Senkos would be my go to lures, lots of pausing.

Inside weed edges are my favorite this time of the year.

I don’t think I have much experience where you’re fishing but a camera in that A+ clarity water might help…
