Let me preface with I was joking around.

I can understand why you make the distinction being in law enforcement. In both cases (catfish and robbery) the terms are being used incorrectly, so that’s why I say it’s the same. More to the point, I don’t think anyone is discussing whether it was armed robbery during the day, everyone agrees it was a burglary done at night. So they are misusing the word, but every one understands what they are saying.

I know how pet peeves work. I have plenty of them. So I know this probably didn’t help. Lol

I have to agree with Deertracker on this one as far as terminology is concerned. Robbing involves a victim. Terminology doesn’t effectively reduce the crime as far as I am concerned though.

The nature of multiple, recurring, thefts from the same area of the business sort of suggests that there is a serious weakness in the security in that area that needs to be addressed though. My question is if this is in a fenced in enclosure, how did the entry occur? Something cut? Gate left unlocked? Someone suggested maybe even it being an “inside” job? Lots of questions to answer but its still enough boil Thorne Bros. water.

I thought you were probably joking Pug I just thought it was important for this discussion to use the right term for this type of crime. For the record for those that are talking about the location of the business, burglaries happen every day and in every type of neighborhood. No one is immune.
    Rant over…
